I’m a psychometrician, statistician, and educational innovator based in Amsterdam. I’m co-director of the Teaching & Learning Centre at the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences at the University of Amsterdam, where I teach statistical reasoning at the department of communication science, and conduct research in psychometrics, computer adaptive testing, and the integration of digital assessment with learning. I also lead the university’s involvement in national initiatives to modernize digital assessment practices. As lead for research universities in the NpulsDigital Testing & Development division, I work with colleagues across the Dutch education sector to support secure, reliable, and pedagogically sound digital assessment processes and help institutions develop a clear vision for assessment in the digital age.
